| Questions: What are the most commonly used rope ties and knots used in rock clim Im guessing this can be the same for both rock climbing and winter mountainering/ice climbing. After years of trekking and hunting i have been wanting to take up winter mountaineering so will be doing a course some time next year. So in the mean time i thought id teach myself some rope tieing skills and knots etc so what are the most commonly used ones in this sport? If you could give me the names so that i can look them up that would be great. Tieing knots has always taken me time to learn properly so im wanting to get to know them, or some, before the course. |
