Polo Wraps or Sport Medicine Boots?

Thank author of this post/commentI need a second opinion. I have always used Sport Boots for barrel racing competitions. I have recently noticed Polo Wraps being used. They are way cheaper and come in more colors for changing up the look. But....are they giving the horse the same support as sport boots? I don't want an injury for the sake of looking cool.
