What's with this sudden bunch of young writers?

Thank author of this post/commentI've always been writing and thinking stories and reading sense I was little. And suddenly, there are 12, 13, 14, 15 year old writers wanting to get published. People ask me why I'm wasting my time with wanting to be a professional writer and why I spend day and night, every spare second, inside writing and doing research. On Yahoo! I realized that there are so many others hoping to make it big. What's with this rise? A lot of teenagers don't even like reading. All it is is sports. How is this happening?
