Outdoor is quite general in trying to explain what sports you can engage in places that are not indoors. A whole lot of the time, most people prefer one of the options though a balance of the two is recommended.

Golf is one sport that intrigues me. I have always wondered how the great sport became so popular.

In particular, golfers attempt to hit balls into each hole in a golf course using the minimum number of strokes. It is one of the few ball games that does not require a standardized playing area.
