Becoming a baseball player?

since I can remember i've always loved baseball. I'm 16 now and i have never been in a little league or any type of baseball team but i have played a few games with some friends. Now, i have been really thinking about wanting to become a professional ( MLB ). I want to know if its to late for me to even think about this. Would i even have a shot. And if so what do i have to do?
