Why Is Hockey So Violent?

Hi there guys, lots of people knows that hockey is a violent sport. It seems that the players are getting hurt whenever they are playing and I must say that it seems that I can feel all of the push and the harsh movements by all of the players. Do you think that hockey is a harsh and violent sports? Hope to hear from all of you guys, thanks a lot.
