| Was this an insult, please help? Okay, so some girl was like "Craig quit orchestra, he said it was boring!" and then another girl was like, "Orchestra is beastly! But I'm in band though, but why did he quit?" "I don't know?" and then I said from behind them on the bus "Band is better." and then she said "Band is for losers... like you." And then I was like, "What ever DORK-estra haha" But I got really offended. I don't think I'm a loser, I don't sit at the three "loser" or "video gamer pervert" tables. I sit by either a table with really cool people mostly on the football team or the kids who play soccer and basketball mostly at another table. I'm going to be on the basketball team and I play ice hockey but not football. Was she just saying that, because I kind of got mad at her ha. Well, she sits at my table. We talk after school and I see her at the skating rink and movies when we go. It's NOT like she is really popular and I'm like a geek or something. I have a lot of friends, and am very athletic. |
| Believe in yourself. Don't let other people step on you because you have your own uniqueness. If you are inclined in sports then go for it. There is nothing wrong when you strive hard to reach your goals. Being a hockey player is really nice so go for it and continue the good job. When I was a kid I started playing hockey as well and I am pleased to teach my children at present. |
| It is pretty common in high school or among groups of those with low self esteem or immaturity to put down those who are doing something which might make them feel a bit inferior. It is a lot easier to put others down then rise to their level. And this sounds like a classic example of that. If you really care about your hobby, then just go for it despite what your peers say. |
| That is so true. Just be yourself and do what you want. As long as you are not stepping into someone else, then I see nothing wrong with that at all. And there will always be those instances when you are to hear words from people. But instead of weeping and whining over such words from people, take those as your motivation to move forward and be much better in whatever you do. |
| Hockey is what I really like doing best. For me, this is where I excel the most and I always find it a worthwhile experience. When I was a kid, I was taught by my dad to do this and I even joined the hockey team at school. I always am one of the best players and my parents are real proud of me. Have a great day. Thanks. |
