| Hiking and walkingIt has been reported that walking is the foremost exercise. People donīt need anything else to be in shape and keep an ideal weight. Hiking is walking, with the difference that it is long distance and abrupt landscape, with ups and downs. It becomes trekking at a certain point when done in the Grand Canyon or Nepal. If it is a long distance you can hike in Central Park or up and down Manhattan. I personally have never been in a gym or done anything to keep in shape except walking. My best advise is...walk!
