Yahoo! Answers: Soccer ball question, please help? - Football and Soccer
| Yahoo! Answers: Soccer ball question, please help? OK, about a week ago, I bought a new soccer ball (one of them adidas world cup balls, but a replica). I got it pumped up at the shop, and now it has deflated a little (not a huge amount). If i was kicking the ball around in my backyard, and I kicked the ball relatively softly (not hard, just a deflection kind of) into the edge of one of the concrete blocks that we have around our garden (the edge is not curved, its a 90 degree angle and is not curved), would that pop the bladder or put a small hole in it? There was obviously some marks (scratches or small grazes) along the surface of the ball, but I don't know if this would have put a tiny hole in the bladder. What I'm asking is, even if I get a tiny hole in the bladder (like a pin hole) would the ball deflate relativly quickly (like pumped up to flat in 24hrs etc) and is it normal for soccer balls or any kind of football (rugby etc) to lose air from being used, and are soccer balls relatively tough (can they stand a fair bit of abuse, like rough usage etc). By the way, I did kick the ball into the block around 3 days ago. |
