What is fantasy baseball/ other sport?

Thank author of this post/commentIs it like D&D, but you're playing baseball? Why not just play a video game instead (by that I mean, what keeps you coming back to play that instead?)

I think the lure of this is being able to enjoy a baseball game which you are sort of controlling or at least taking part in, without having to exert yourself. Or even if you do play regularly, if you want to play even more often, then playing a fantasy game can be enjoyable as it can include everyone, even those who are not actually good at playing the sport in real life.
