| Cricket?Wow! Nice. I know cricket exists and have even seen videos in the news showing players in action. It looks strangely like baseball. I have heard that baseball actually derives from cricket. It involves a stick, or "bat" with which the players strike a ball, pretty much like a baseball. Then they run around something that looks like a diamond. But they also run in a straight line, that doesnīt jibe. Anyway, I would like to know more about it, and also ask why cricket isnīt played in the U.S. I definitely would attend these games, so if there are any games offered I would like to know where. Thanks in advance! God bless you all. |
| Cricket is a sport that become hugely popular during the height of the British empire, though it really only stuck with the colonies mostly, places such as Australia, India and South Africa-- possibly Pakistan as well. Because of this, it is mainly these nations that still play this sport, as well as the British home nations. It was not until the British Empire was waning that they starting exporting the sport that stuck more around the world, Association Football. |
