The master game

When I was a kid I used to play chess. Thatīs where my post begins, with the word "play".

Is chess a game you play or an art you master. The "games" are mind fencing, neuron flashes, human inteligence at its best.

I feel insulted when I see chess called a "sport". Maybe a sport for the fingers. It is assumed that sports contribute in some way to our physical well- being.

Maybe I am all wrong.

One thing about chess, and maybe thatīs why I gave it up, I hate to lose.

It seems almost like an insult to accept the otherīs victory.

Itsīs probably a personality dysfunction!

Well, cheers!

Chess is more of a board game between two players who try to outwit each other by being the first to checkmate the other. It's not really a sport because it's not much of a physical activity but it is true that you do have to master its art to become good at it. It is definitely a mind game and you need to be a strategic player to win the game.
