| Chess beginnerRight! Thatīs what I am, a beginner! When I was a kid my dad began my career as a chess player. He taught me the rules of the game and we played nearly every day. Of course, he was a great guy and a great dad, so he let me win sometimes, which I have always been grateful for.He taught me the best beginning agmes, middle games and end games. He taught me to have great respect for Seņor Capablanca! Well, all of this is just to say that after my dad died nearly twenty years ago, I have never played chess again. Now, the whole thing is that I want to begin again. However, after such a long time, I am rusty to say the least. Can anyone suggest a good book to get me rolling again? Will appreciate! Cheers! |
| Sorry to hear that but I think it's time for you to move on. Continue your life and enjoy the things that you wanted to do like playing chess. You should be very grateful for having a good father. I can see that you really love him. I think there is nothing wrong of bringing back your memories with your father. Make him proud that you still treasure the things that he taught you. |
