Boating in the Caribbean

A few days ago a friend offered to sell me his sailing boat. It is in a marina near where I live on an island in the Caribbean.

I went to take a look and it is awsome! It is on a trolley type of thing but you can lower it into the water easily. Then you need to install it there again so it can dry.

It is a 14 foot sail boat with a small outboard motor on it. A couple of people can actually sleep in a small enclosed cabin inside.

The trouble is, my friends, that I donīt know the first thing about sailing!

My father did and he often remarked that the "Caribbean is like a woman, sweet and tender one day and hell the next".

I donīt want to be shark food.

I love the idea of buying the boat, but where should I begin to learn something about sailing.
