How do I teach my son basketball?

I am not really much of sports fan. While most of my classmates back in high school were into extra-curricular sports activities, there I was studying hard or enjoying my art class. A certified geek as they so much put it.

I don't want my son to go to the same circumstances as I did. I want him to be a somebody rather than a nobody. A geek but a popular icon at school, the only problem is how can I push him or teach him sports like basketball when I myself don't know much about the sport?

I can say that it is really hard for you to push your son in learning a thing that you as his father do not also know how to do it. Maybe you can bring or enroll your son to a summer basketball lessons so he will be able to learn the sport. You can encourage him to do it even if you are not into it. That is our role as their parents.
