How did basketball come about?

The history of basketball dates back to the late 19th century. It was invented in 1891 by the Canadian-American clergyman, educator and physician James Naismith who was then an instructor at the Young Mens Christian Association Training School(now Springfield College). Over the years, the game has progressed both in style and tactic. In my own view, the world has never had a legend bigger than Michael Jordan.
