Fan blows whistle during NBA game

about a month ago during an NBA game against the Jazz and the Warriors, a Warriors player was stripped of the ball.. just as that happened a fan from the stands blew a whistle and everyone thought it was a ref..

mostly everyone on the court stopped playing, except for Kyle Korver.. he had an easy dunk with nobody guarding him!! after the uncontested dunk the refs realized the whistle came from the stands and Jazz still got the two points!

i think that the ball should have still been given to the Jazz, but the two points shouldn't have counted.. and the guy who blew the whistle, what an ass.

It's quite funny and at the same time annoying. I think Kyle Korver is in focus and he was not distracted much because he has the ball. But I think his shot must be counted. All players must be conscious of anyone�s movement and the remaining time as well in the court. So even there are outside distractions, players should be in focus. I think there is a difference with the referee's whistle than with the unknown man's whistle.
